TANNER

Volleyball Camp

Karleigh went to volleyball camp this summer and did GREAT! She won an Athlete's Bible from the serving contest and improved her skills so much! She has tryouts the first week of school for the Madisonville Lady Ponies team! Keep your fingers crossed!

Light at the end...

We have had a heart breaking summer.
First we lost our big guy, TANK, while we were on vacation. We came home to the heart breaking news that he had died. We love Tank and will always miss him. The next blow of the summer came on July 26th when we very traumatically lost GusGus. He was his normal self all day, playing and fetching toys. That night he got sick. We rushed him to the vet about 10:30 that night and he died there. The doctor said he had a stroke. This was one of the most heartbreaking things I have ever had to be part of. I knew the loss of a pet was devastating because we just lost Tank, but I never knew the loss to the extent that I felt it now. Gus was, is, one of my babies and I will never forget him. The only thing that gets me through is that I believe that Jesus and Tank needed him too. GusGus will forever be in our hearts! One more blow came when we were scammed out of a lot of money. My mom had found some English Bulldogs on line for sale. This spurred me on to look. I found a lady that had 2 puppies that she needed homes for...long story short...she was a scam, we sent her the money, we didn't get dogs...

Karleigh and Gracie were so excited to get new puppies after all of the heart break we had been through and then we ended up having our money taken. This was another set back...

Chris and I both sat up at night determined to find some sort of critter to ease the pain for the kids as well as ourselves. I be dang if we didn't find that little light at the end only 23 miles from home. I found a lady in Centerville that raises Miniature Dachshunds. I called her and made arrangements to come see the puppies. We picked Karleigh up from volleyball camp and headed over there. We can home with not one, but TWO new additions to the family.

Please meet Jeb (the dapple) and Ellie Mae (the piebald).Even Roofus is taking a sniff at the new babies. Jeb wants to be his friend so bad, and doesn't understand why ol'Roofus won't pay with him.

SIX FLAGS...

Mandy, Bob, Cade, Victoria, Roger, Karleigh, Summer, Chris, and I spent a VERY hot day at Six Flags. We had a great time, rode some roller coasters, and got very hot! I am glad we olny go to Six Flags once a year!!
